Today, 50 Lessons is widely recognized as the world's pre-eminent collection of multimedia business insights from global business leaders. These assets are housed in a digital library and sold via various channels to over 350 corporate customers and academic institutions globally.
Adam envisioned and led the publishing initiative behind the best selling Lessons Learned: Straight Talk From The World's Top Business Leaders, a 24 book series– published by Harvard Business School Press. Initially backed by the BBC, 50 Lessons was acquired by Skillsoft in 2011.
Tim Smith

Tim is our 'Man of Scale' and is responsible for True Office's technology. Tim has been creating value through technology leadership in organizations for the past 20 years with an impressive track record of performance leading start-up and emerging growth ventures, turnarounds, market revitalizations and multinational business units.
Tim spent thirteen years with Sapient Corporation, starting as the 20th employee and growing the organization to become the leading business transformation company it is today. Since Sapient, Tim has led a 200+ person IT organization as SVP of Information and Technology at Fidelity supporting equity investment professionals worldwide.
Tim holds an MBA, Finance and MIS, from University of Rochester and a BS, Operations Research and Industrial Engineering, from Cornell University.
Aaron Hoffman
Creative Director
Aaron is responsible for overseeing animation, illustration and the overall True Office aesthetic. He has a passion for problem solving with design. Prior to joining True Office, Aaron worked as an animator, illustrator, designer, and creative director on projects for the Field Museum, Columbia University, FedEx, Puma, Pfizer, and numerous others. He received his BFA in Visual Communication (Design) and Animation from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. While there, he was honored with awards from the Associated Collegiate Press, the Illinois Collegiate Press Association, and SAIC itself.
Jillian Darling
Partnerships & Finance
Jillian oversees all True Office's commercial partnerships to ensure that both clients and strategic partners alike get the best from True Office. Closely aligned to this role, Jillian is also our acting CFO. Before joining True Office, she was the Director of Finance and Administration at What's What, LLC, where she led the finance and HR functions as well as managed customer service and moderation teams. Prior to What's What, Jillian consulted for a variety of early stage companies, founded and led a nonprofit educational organization, and was a founding employee and project manager at Exelixis Pharmaceuticals. She has an MBA from the Simmons School of Management and an M.S. in Biology from Boston College.
Damon Kreth
Licensing & Operations
Damon is responsible for licensing all things True Office. In his spare time, he also manages the day to day operations of the business. Previously, Damon was in charge of finance and operations at 50 Lessons. Damon also helped 50 Lessons through the sale process with SKillSoft. Prior to 50 Lessons, Damon worked in Fidelity's HR services group and as an air traffic controller in the US Navy. Damon received an MBA with concentration in Entrepreneurship from Babson College and a BS in Finance from the University of Massachusetts.
